Harness Your Spring-Clean Energy In Two Simple Steps
Spring is traditionally a very busy time of year for me. The changing of seasons, longer days and welcoming warmth all bring a natural desire to clear and clean our homes. As a result, I get a flurry of requests asking for help. For a few, the call or the sending of the email is as far as they go. The actual task (or tasks) of clearing can feel overwhelming, and even a natural spring high is quickly suppressed by inertia.
But it doesn’t have to feel that way.
If you too feel the pull of Spring, do not take it for granted! Grab the once-a-year spring tidy energy by the horns and get organised.

Make the most of this natural spring energy in two easy steps.
STEP 1: MAKE A CLEANING WISH LIST
I recommend quickly sitting down and writing a list of all you need to get done. Once listed, add a number to each item in order of priority. Generally, I recommend giving priority to quick wins (the tasks you can do easily), and the pain points (the tasks that are causing the most problems in the home).

STEP 2: PUT A SPRING (CLEAN) INTO YOUR STEP
Now listed, allocate time in your week to spring-cleaning. Trying to find little spots here and there in your week will only slow you down. Make the time, and work your way down the list. There is a likelihood that the list will never get finished, and that's okay, just make a START. So often we let these little sparks of enthusiasm fade as quickly as they come on, and that's okay. Celebrate what you can achieve.
The best piece of advice I can give is not to ignore the spring energy spike and take advantage of this unique seasonal opportunity.
So there you have it if you find yourself wanting to get spring clearing but held back by how big a job it is, or not knowing where to start - slow down, pause, list and start at the beginning. Give it a go. You might be surprised by how much you can do.
